Fredric Altiere has always had an artistic approach to his musical abilities. When he took a toy frog and a set of dog bowls and made them into instruments the artist/musician was born. Before joining Folk’n BluesGrass, Fred played guitar and sang with a band called The Sassafras String Band. He has also played percussion with another St.Louis band, Gumbohead. Fred’s unique instrumentation, including his fly like kazoo solos has made the band stand out from other similar acts. On any given night an audience can find Fred dancing around the stage with our beloved friend Gig the frog Fred Altiere
