FolknBluesGrass is a four piece acoustic group based in Saint Louis, Missouri. The band performs their own unique style of folk, blues and bluegrass (hence the name). They got their start in 2005 as a trio consisting of Brian Curran on guitar, Steve Bauer on mandolin, and Travis King on doghouse bass. They played three to four nights a week at some of the top venues in Saint Louis. Fred Altiere joined the band in early 2006. With Fred adding washboard, kazoo and percussion the band was complete. FolknBluesGrass has crafted their own unique style of American Roots music while adding a modern feel. With their own unique style of instrumentation and powerful stage presence they have distinguished themselves from the rest.
